    K&N High-Flow Intake System Adds 11.88 Horsepower to 2008-09 Pontiac G8

    The K&N High-Flow Intake System for the 2008-09 Pontiac G8 6.0L V8, (part no. 63-3071), increases horsepower by 11.88 hp at 4691 rpm. To achieve more horsepower, K&N replaces the G8’s original intake assembly; including the air box, air filter and intake tube with an all-new intake design. The new system draws air through a K&N High-Flow Air Filter that increases airflow and never needs to be replaced. Protecting the chrome top cone-shaped air filter, and isolating it from engine heat, is a powder coated steel heat shield that replaces the stock air box. As it passes the filter, air travels through a larger diameter K&N Roto-Molded Polyethylene Tube. (AJ)

    The K&N High-Flow Intake System for the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS 6.2L, (69-4519TP), increases horsepower by 18.12 hp at 5200 rpm. K&N replaces the Camaro’s original intake assembly; including the air box, air filter and intake tube with an all-new intake design. The new system draws air through a K&N High-Flow Air Filter that increases airflow and never needs to be replaced. Protecting the chrome top cone-shaped air filter, and isolating it from engine heat, is a heat shield that replaces the stock air box.     The K&N High-Flow Air Filter for the 2010 Chevy Camaro 3.6L, 6.2L (33-2434) is designed to increase horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent filtration.   K&N Air Filters are made of 4 to 6 layers of cotton gauze sandwiched between two epoxy-coated aluminum wire screens.  The cotton is treated with a specially formulated grade of oil causing tackiness throughout the cotton’s strands.  The nature of the cotton allows high volumes of airflow, and when combined with the tackiness of the oil creates a powerful filtering media that provides excellent filtration.     The K&N High-Flow Intake System for the 2008-09 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X 2.0L Turbo, (part# 69-6546TWR) increases horsepower by 21.42 hp at 6100 rpm.  To achieve such a performance increase, K&N replaces the original intake assembly; including the air box, air filter and intake tube with an all-new intake design.  The new system draws air through a K&N High-Flow Air Filter that increases airflow and never needs to be replaced. Additional features include a powder coated aluminum upper intercooler tube replacing the stock piece for improved air delivery and an attractive wrinkle-red powder coated finish to enhance the Evo X’s engine bay.
